More irresponsibility from Ted Kennedy

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH carries Kennedy's latest anti-American memo. The actions at Abu Ghraib were stupid and wrong. But so is this, and it undermines the efforts of our armed forces abroad. Either Kennedy doesn't realize this or he doesn't care. Either conclusion is disturbing.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it irresponsible and/or yet another drunken rambling from Ted Kennedy - what he's attempting to do is provide an explanation for the American people about what occurred at Abu Ghraib, and he's simply put a partisan spin on it. Spinning isn't a liberal stunt, it's not a conservative stunt, it's pretty much beloved across the board. To put this more in perspective, the people who are going to take this statement seriously already thought Rumsfeld was a jerk, and the people who aren't going to take this statement seriously voted Republican. He's not taking any action or furthering a cause, just releasing a statement. Kennedy is way too polarizing of a force to get conservatives switch sides. It's just not worth getting up in arms over.
