Thanks to Justice's and the Archives' leniency, or laxity, or both, Mr. Berger's plea deal expires in 2008--just in time, perhaps, for the next Clinton Administration.

Berger's crimes
OpinionJournal discusses them here. Someone would be in jail or headed for it if Berger's crimes had been committed by any ordinary citizen and/or a Republican. Why is Berger running free? The answer is covered in the last paragraph of this piece.
